Friedrich “Fritz” Bossert Memorial gift

Central American Relief Efforts would like to thank the family of Fritz Bossert (R.I.P.) for their generous contribution through a Memorial Gift in his honor.

 

Friedrich "Fritz" Georg Bossert, 67, of Lancaster, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday May 12, 2024. Born in Mannheim, Germany, he was the son of Marianne (Hartman) Bossert, of Germany, and the late Heinrich Bossert. He was married over 36 years to his beloved wife Claudia (Lorenzen) Bossert.


Fritz was the Chief Executive Officer at Lancaster Leaf Tobacco Co, LLC, part of the Universal Corporation. He started his career at a small German Tobacco Company, and eventually in 1996 moved his family to the U.S. to continue his career as the Vice President of Tobacco Purchasing at General Cigar. Fritz spent the last 20 years of his career at Lancaster Leaf,


He loved spending time with his family, cooking and exploring new recipes to share with them. He was famously known for his homemade juice, enjoyed by friends and family on Sunday mornings.They were his pride and joy, and his love for them will be dearly missed. Outside of work and family,


In addition to his wife Claudia, and mother Marianne, Friedrich is survived by his four children: Tina Burke, Ph.D. (Shawn Burke), of MN, Anna Bossert, D.O. (Zachary Bushmire), Lisa Bossert, M.P.H. (Stephen Neagle), and Julia Bossert, D.V.M. (Christopher Chubb), all of Lancaster; five grandchildren: Julian, Elliott, Nolan, Eleanor, and Charlotte; and three siblings: Heinrich Bossert (Martina Schwarz), Ilse Wiester (Roland Wiester), Thomas Bossert (Petra Deibert) as well as his many nieces and nephews.

 

Fritz Bossert Memorial gift of $16,000.00 is been used to open 5 new self-sustainable pharmacies in different municipalities in the south of Honduras.

The areas that will benefit from this memorial gift are:

  1. Delicias Arriba. County of El Paraiso south of Honduras. Rural farming areas with a small population

  2. Cacautare Centro. Village of Pespire municipality. A small population of about 1,000 people.

  3. El Triunfo centro. Large population municipality in Choluteca County.

  4. El Llanito. Farming and far away areas in the Pespire municipality. Rural and small village.

  5. Waiting for location selection.


Bossert family generosity is greatly appreciated, and many lives will be touched by this legacy of love and commitment.
